Solid State Polycondensation (SSP) Device
Solid state polycondensation (SSP) is an efficient way to increase the intrinsic viscosity of PET, which applies to PET bottle and industrial yarn production.
Prior to solid state polycondensation (SSP), crystallization plays an important part in the whole process. The PET chips or flakes are heated evenly in the crystallizer in order to reduce their moisture content and increase their crystallinity, ensuring the quality of product.
The PET chips or flakes are transferred to a polycondensation (SSP) reactor and kept in the reactor for a period of time, through which the molecular weight of PET rises. So the intrinsic viscosity of chips or flakes increases to the required level and the mechanical properties are also improved. At the same time, the PET chips or flakes are decontaminated.
Our Solid State Polycondensation (SSP) device can be divided into two types: continuous SSP and batch SSP.
